What harness size does my dog need?

A well-fitting dog harness provides your four-legged friend with comfort and plenty of freedom of movement. Since the build and proportions vary from dog to dog, it's important to have the right measurements and the suitable harness style. Here, you'll learn how to measure your dog properly and find the right size.

The key for an optimal fit is the correct size. To determine this, you will need your dog's chest girth.

Chest Girth

Measure the chest girth behind the front legs at the widest part of the ribcage, about two fingers width behind the front legs. To do this, wrap the measuring tape around your dog's chest.

In the size specifications, we always provide the smallest and largest adjustment options of the harness. This way, you can clearly see which size your dog needs.

Some of our harnesses come in special sizes for pugs, bulldogs & Co. This cut is particularly well-suited for dogs with a broad chest.

Belly Girth

To determine the correct size for our No Escape harnesses, you will also need your dog's belly girth.

This is measured behind the ribcage of the dog.
